Guest reviews for The Originals Novella Hotel in Nantes city centre

A very good hotel for a night or two, close to the tram and train station. The only slight drawback is that breakfast isn't served until 8 am on weekends... there are many people catching early morning trains... so I paid 8 euros and didn't even get to enjoy what I paid for, which is a real shame. Otherwise, the receptionist was welcoming, and the room was comfortable and clean, no complaints.

We stayed at this hotel for a business meeting. What a terrible idea! The reception was nonexistent; we were reprimanded by a night watchman who came to greet us half-dressed (I won't go into more detail out of decency). The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, the sink was clogged, and on top of that, the neighborhood is "dodgy" (according to the watchman himself)! In short, don't go there!

Good place to stay... medium-sized rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, location close to everything. Breakfast is limited but what they offer is good. There are only two negative things in my opinion: the carpet is very damp (it would be better to have a floor without carpeting; if you're barefoot your feet itch), and the toilet seat is very high.
For a one-night stay, it's a good place to stay.
