The Vélodyssée, from Brittany to the Basque Country
Cycling enthusiasts will be familiar with this cycle route which crosses Brittany, follows the Atlantic coast and ends in the Basque Country. From Roscoff to Hendaye, enjoy a unique experience with the ocean on the horizon.
The major advantage of this cycling route is that most of the route is away from cars. Combine sport and pleasure as you cycle through the treasures of the western regions of France.
If you stay at the Novella Centre Gare, there are several routes available:
- From Nantes to Nort-sur-Edre (35 km and 2 hours 20 minutes by bike);
- From Nantes to Le Pellerin (24 km and 1 hour 40 minutes by bike);
- From Nantes to Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (61.4 km and 4 hours 10 minutes by bike).
The Loire à Vélo
Stay in the Loire region for this second cycling tour. Get on your bike from your hotel in Nantes and cycle along the river. The advantage of this cycling route is that there are endless loops and variations.
You can start at one point, finish at another, retrace your steps and continue on a new route.
The Loire Valley will hold no secrets for you after this journey. Beware, however, that 2/3 of the route is on road. You will have to be very careful with the vehicles driving alongside you.
