The Dukes of Brittany Castle

The first historical monument to be discovered from our hotel is located in the medieval district of Nantes. Since 1924, it has become the history museum of the town. It is unusual to find a castle in the heart of a city centre.

Visit the gardens and ramparts for free. Then buy a ticket for a chance to enter the castle. You will see the museum, but also exhibitions on the history of the city.

Saint-Nicolas Basilica

🚲 6 minutes from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne. On the way: the water mirror, the Éloge du Pas de Côté and the Place Royale.

A bit of heritage in our bike ride. The Basilica of Saint-Nicolas is one of the two basilicas in the city. It is remarkable for its neo-gothic style, its 100-metre high spire and its romantic inspiration.

The place of worship has sumptuous stained glass windows and elegant classical furnishings. This visit is a must-see in Nantes.

The inner Jungle

🚲 2 minutes from the Basilique Saint-Nicolas. On the way: the Sainte-Croix Church.

It's possible to be in the middle of nature in the heart of the city of Nantes! Created during the Voyage à Nantes in 2018, the Inner Jungle is the idea of Evor, a visual artist, who wanted to combine his two passions: art and botany.

Leave your bike safely behind and climb the stairs that take you on a ride away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In this plant paradise, plants from all over the world grow according to the weather. Take a little height to admire it and see the bell tower of the Holy Cross Church.

The Cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul in Nantes

🚲 2 minutes from the inner Jungle. On the way: many shops to shop.

Our cycling loop ends with a pearl of Gothic art that ended after the Revolution. It was the victim of a terrible fire in 2020, and has been reborn from its ashes under the hands of artists and renovators.

Nevertheless, it is pleasant to admire its majestic façade which says a lot about what we might find inside. This is not the first unfortunate event that the cathedral has experienced.

Indeed, over the centuries, parts of the cathedral, such as the stained glass windows, have been damaged. This does not prevent us from contemplating the last elements of the large stained glass window and the other windows.

This bike tour allows you to discover the city of Nantes between heritage and culture. It forms a loop, but can be done individually from your hotel.
